August Rodin, "The Kiss"

In commemoration of the centennial of his death, The American Library in Paris is hosting an art talk on the famous French sculptor August Rodin. Former PCA Art History lecturer Emmanuelle Day, will be the presenter of this talk and will explore the themes of the “Rodin: The Centennial Exhibition” currently on display at the Grand Palais through July 31st.

Rodin is considered the turning point from ancient to modern sculpture and is often referred to as “The Michelangelo of France”. His most famous sculptures include “The Kiss” and “The Thinker”, both of which are on display at the Rodin Museum in the 7th arrondissement in Paris.
