Wilfrid Estève, photographer, teacher and producer, will speak at PCA’s Photography Lunch Talk on November 25th.
President of FreeLens, an organisation accredited by the French government as benefiting the public interest, Estève received in 2005 the photography award Prix Nadar as an author, for his work Photojournalisme, à la croisée des chemins.
As a producer, Wilfrid Estève was granted the highest award by the jury of the WebTV Festival in La Rochelle, France, for the interactive platform documentary La Nuit oubliée – 17 octobre 1961 in 2012, the Mediterranean Journalist Award 2013 (in New Media) from the Foundation Anna Lindh, as well as the PriMed 2014 (Mediterranean Multimedia Award) for Sout el shabab.
Member of the photojournalism observatory for the French Ministry of Culture, co-creator of the agency L’Oeil Public, and speaker specialized in Photojournalism, Wilfrid manages the Hans Lucas studio and co-leads the university degree Photographie Documentaire et Ecritures Transmedia at the University of Perpignan via Domitia. In 2015, he was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government.
