We are pleased to invite you to the seventh edition of About *Design* that will be held next week, March 10–13, 2025, at Paris College of Art.

This year, to celebrate our community, the Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Design departments have joined forces to organize a four-day transversal workshop, bringing together students from across the design disciplines to collaborate on one communal project.

From Monday, March 10, to Thursday, March 13, students from will work alongside faculty to explore new creative synergies.

The week will conclude with a vernissage on Thursday evening, following the setup of the exhibition and presentation of the results.

The kick-off session will take place in the student lounge on Monday, March 10, at 10 AM,  with “Envelop/e : Fostering Communities,” a workshop led by Nirina Metz.

Paper has been a powerful tool for expression, communication, and creativity since its invention. In today’s digital world, it still connects us, fostering shared memories, values, and goals. This workshop brings together students from Communication, Fashion, and Interior Design to collaborate on a large-scale, interactive paper installation. They’ll think beyond boundaries, blending skills to create a multisensory experience. Led by Nirina Metz, BFA Fashion Design alumna, fashion designer and creative partner with Charlie Le Mindu, the workshop challenges norms and explores new forms of design and performance.

Participation is mandatory for Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Design students. The workshop is also open to any other students or faculty who would like to take part—please contact the Department Chairs of Communication Design, Interior Design or Fashion Design for more information.

Committed to environmental and social responsibility, Procédés Chénel collaborates with rehabilitation workshops for several production lines and is actively working on the recycling of one of its flagship products, Drop Paper®, at the end of its life cycle. With a strong focus on sustainability, Sophie Chénel launched the So Paper project, inviting 20 designers to create using paper waste. The results of this initiative were exhibited at the Maison & Objet fair.
